Used typically to express mild apology, surprise, or dismay

Used to express mild dismay, chagrin, surprise, etc., as at one’sown mistake, a clumsy act, or social blunder.

    Oops! I left the lid off the ketchup.
  2. Used sarcastically to acknowledge a major mistake.
    I just shot him in the face. Oops!
    I just ran over a squirrel. Oops!
